GIS Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a GIS Developer for one of our government clients to lead the development and enhancement of a critical GIS dashboard. This work supports federally mandated EPA requirements, making adherence to project timelines and deliverables essential.

In this role, you will own the full software development lifecycle for the GIS dashboard, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), production deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer. You will partner closely with the GIS Development Team for guidance and technical support, as well as business stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.

While collaboration is a key component of the role, you will serve as the primary developer responsible for delivering the required GIS dashboard enhancements.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of GIS development experience
• 5+ years of experience with ESRI Suite
• 2+ years of experience with AcrGIS Online Feature class updates
• 2+ years of experience with ArcGIS Online Experience Builder
• Hands on experience developing new GIS Dashboards, maps, mobile tools using ArcGIS Online Experience Builder
• 5+ years of Python scripting experience
• 2+ years of experience with the following programming languages: ASP.NET, VB, and HTML reports
• 2+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL databases
• Experience leading teams to develop and implement small to medium sized GIS applications and systems
