Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations for a large retail employer. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a smooth employee experience while keeping records, processes, and communication organized. The role will contribute to onboarding, employee support, and HR systems coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate onboarding activities, including collecting required documentation, preparing onboarding materials, and helping employees transition into their roles smoothly.

Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and assist with routine updates, recordkeeping, and data verification.

Support background screening processes by tracking status, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring timely completion before start dates.

Respond to employee questions related to HR procedures, policies, and general workplace matters, escalating more complex issues when needed.

Assist with administrative tasks across HR operations, such as organizing files, preparing reports, and managing employment-related documentation.

Partner with HR team members to improve workflow efficiency and provide support for ongoing HR initiatives and system-related processes.

Help monitor compliance with internal HR practices by ensuring personnel records and onboarding steps are completed accurately and on schedule.
Requirements • Experience supporting human resources administration in a detail-focused office environment.

Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee data.

Hands-on experience assisting with onboarding activities for new employees.

Familiarity with employee relations support and responding appropriately to routine HR inquiries.

Experience coordinating or tracking background checks as part of the hiring process.

Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and follow-through.
