Strategy Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Strategy Analyst to join a consumer products organization in Bergen County, New Jersey. This role combines financial planning, strategic analysis, and operational insight to help leadership make informed business decisions. The position offers strong exposure to executive stakeholders and a broad scope spanning budgeting, performance reporting, and growth-oriented initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead recurring monthly reporting cycles, ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial and operational insights for leadership review.

• Prepare executive-ready analyses that explain budget performance, forecast updates, and key business trends affecting results.

• Maintain corporate budgeting activities and evaluate actual results against plans, highlighting risks, opportunities, and material variances.

• Build financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic projects, investment decisions, and long-term planning efforts.

• Contribute analytical support for business development activity, including potential partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.

• Develop presentations and management materials that translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

• Analyze inventory levels, supply chain performance, and operational metrics to improve working capital efficiency and planning effectiveness.

• Partner with finance, operations, sales, and business development leaders to provide decision support across cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required; candidates with strong academic credentials are preferred.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in areas such as FP& A, corporate finance, corporate development, investment banking, consulting, or business analytics.

• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting fundamentals, and financial planning processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario-based analysis.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in PowerPoint for executive-level reporting and presentations.

• Ability to interpret business performance data and turn findings into practical recommendations.

• Strong communication skills with experience presenting analyses to senior leadership.

• Experience with planning platforms or business intelligence tools, including Power BI, is a plus.
