In House Counsel

Description

We are looking for an experienced In House Counsel to support legal operations remotely. This role will focus on advising on commercial agreements, managing contract matters from drafting through negotiation, and assisting with litigation-related work and document analysis. The ideal candidate brings sound legal judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide practical guidance in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and revise a range of commercial agreements to align legal terms with business objectives and risk standards.

• Lead and support contract negotiations with external parties, helping secure favorable terms while protecting organizational interests.

• Provide day-to-day legal guidance on contract interpretation, obligations, and dispute-related concerns.

• Assist with commercial litigation matters by organizing case materials, reviewing relevant records, and coordinating with internal stakeholders or outside counsel as needed.

• Conduct thorough document review to identify legal issues, summarize findings, and support informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate contract records and help monitor key provisions, deliverables, and renewal or compliance deadlines.

Requirements • Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Demonstrated experience handling commercial contracts, including drafting, review, and negotiation.

• Background supporting commercial litigation matters and managing document-intensive legal work.

• Strong ability to analyze legal risk and communicate practical recommendations clearly to business partners.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a Contract role environment.
