Commercial Pipefitters - Kings Bay Naval Base, GA and the surrounding areas RQ is actively hiring skilled Commercial Pipefitters to support our Mechanical Operations team on projects located at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia and surrounding areas. All work is performed on a military base, with compensation paid in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage regulations for each project location. This position is responsible for the installation, assembly, layout, and maintenance of piping systems on active construction sites. Pipefitters will be expected to perform work in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable building codes while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and safety. Candidates should possess strong technical pipefitting knowledge and experience using the proper tools and equipment required for commercial mechanical installations. All tasks must be completed in accordance with company safety standards and in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Compensation and Benefits - Hourly wage range: $20.94-$46.25 depending on experience - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions - Paid time off including one week of vacation plus accrued sick leave Basic Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required - Minimum of four years of journeyman-level pipefitting experience or equivalent experience in commercial construction or facility operations - Experience working on military, government, or large commercial construction projects preferred Preferred Skills and Certifications - Experience installing mechanical piping systems - Background work in underground deep piping installation and chiller lines preferred - Knowledge of equipment startup and commissioning processes involving boilers and chillers preferred - Current pipefitter license or journeyman certification preferred - Active welding certification preferred - CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications preferred Become part of the RQ team and help support high-impact construction projects.
