We’re open in Avondale—and looking for a Kitchen Manager to help make every shift worth coming back for. Angel Biscuit Co. + Emily Pizza brings housemade biscuits, coffee, and breakfast by day, with Detroit-style pizza, burgers, and craft cocktails by night. It’s great food in a laid-back neighborhood setting, with a kitchen that gets to do something a little different.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader with culinary chops who takes pride in food execution, keeps food safety front and center, and knows that a great kitchen starts with great people. Help develop our team, strengthen our routines, and turn a new neighborhood spot into a guest favorite.

Already Getting Local Attention! Charleston Daily’s October 7 opening coverage highlighted our food and drinks and described the atmosphere as having “relaxed, playful energy.” Its weekend brunch coverage called the experience “one worth lingering over.” Bring your leadership to the kitchen that makes that experience happen.

What You’ll Own

Lead the Heart of House with clear standards, practical coaching, and pride in every plate—from biscuit prep to the last pizza of the night.

  • Coach and develop the kitchen team, building skills and accountability.

  • Deliver consistent food quality, recipe execution, and presentation every shift.

  • Keep food safety, cleanliness, and organization part of the daily routine.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, food cost, waste, and labor.

  • Plan prep and keep the kitchen ready for breakfast, weekend brunch, and dinner service.

  • Partner with the Restaurant Manager to deliver food and hospitality guests want to return for.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in restaurants with scratch-made food.

  • A leader who enjoys coaching people and holds the team to clear standards.

  • Strong attention to food quality, presentation, and food safety.

  • Someone who stays calm, organized, and engaged during a fast-paced shift.

  • A hands-on manager ready to help an open restaurant grow and strengthen its culture.
