Position Description:
The Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Management coordinates the day-to-day implementation and maintenance of
curriculum for the University's general academic and professional programs. Working under the direction of Registrar
leadership, the position ensures that approved courses, programs, academic requirements, calendars, and curriculum
changes are accurately reflected in Banner and related student systems. The position works closely with school and
program personnel to support course and program setup, catalog and curriculum data maintenance, schedule development, academic calendar implementation, and resolution of curriculum-related records and registration issues. The Assistant Registrar also supports testing, documentation, training, and data validation associated with curriculum processes and serves as a functional resource to academic units on established Registrar procedures and system requirements.
Texas Tech Health El Paso (TTEP) is not considering applications from individuals who require sponsorship for an employment visa, including those with H1B visas or those currently on student or postgraduate visas.
Additionally, this position is not eligible for remote or hybrid opportunities. All work is required to be performed onsite at TTEP.

Major/Essential Functions:

Coordinate the day-to-day implementation and maintenance of approved curriculum for general academic and professional programs within Banner and related student systems.
-
Process and coordinate approved course and program changes, including new courses, course revisions, program requirements, academic structures, and other curriculum elements necessary to support registration and student records.
-
Maintain accurate course catalog and curriculum data and ensure system information is consistent with approved curriculum actions, institutional records, and published academic requirements.

Coordinate with academic schools and programs on curriculum implementation timelines, course setup, program changes, and related Registrar requirements.
-
Support development and maintenance of academic term and course structures, including part-of-term configurations, course attributes, registration rules, and other curriculum-related system elements.
-
Assist with academic schedule development and review across general academic and professional programs, including course and section setup, scheduling timelines, and validation of schedule information.

Review curriculum, course, section, and academic structure data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with school personnel, Registrar staff, and other institutional partners.

Serve as a functional resource to school and program personnel regarding established curriculum management procedures, Banner requirements, course setup, scheduling practices, and related Registrar processes.

Assist Registrar leadership with implementation of academic calendars and ensure approved dates and academic structures are accurately reflected in applicable student systems and operational processes.

Support maintenance and review of curriculum-related information contained in catalogs, student handbooks, academic policies, and other institutional academic publications.

Evaluate curriculum changes for operational impacts on registration, student records, degree progression, scheduling, and related Registrar processes and elevate complex issues to Registrar leadership as appropriate.

Monitor curriculum-related workflows, exception reports, and data quality issues and coordinate correction of identified errors or inconsistencies.

Participate in implementation of new academic programs, substantial curriculum revisions, system enhancements, and institutional projects affecting curriculum and academic operations.

Support the initiatives, workload, and strategic priorities of the Office of Student Services and Student Engagement and the broader enrollment management enterprise as requested by the University Registrar.

Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.)

Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree required and four years administrative or management experience.
-
Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in higher education administration, student services, business administration, public administration, information systems, or a related field.
-
Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar's Office, curriculum management, academic scheduling, student records, enrollment services, or related higher education administration.

Experience implementing and maintaining curriculum, course, program, term, and academic structure data within a student information system.
-
Experience with Banner Student, DegreeWorks, curriculum management systems, academic scheduling tools, reporting tools, or comparable higher education technologies.

Demonstrated experience coordinating curriculum changes, course catalog maintenance, schedule development, academic calendar implementation, or related academic operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies involving curriculum, course setup, academic structures, registration rules, schedules, or student records.
