Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Power BI Developer to join a large global, manufacturing company based in East Hartford, CT. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for modernization of the Quality Clinics data ecosystem by establishing a Common Quality Database, developing Power BI dashboards for performance monitoring and management reviews, and implementing Power Platform–based workflow automation that streamlines and standardizes data ingestion into the Quality Clinic framework. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

-Perform data mapping across all Quality Clinic types and data domains (Customer, Manufacturing, Supplier, Turnback/Service, Engineering, Business Systems).

-Normalize flat legacy data structures into dimensional models appropriate for the chosen backend (SharePoint or Dataverse).

-Define taxonomy, data standards, and validation rules consistent with enterprise data governance.

-Implement database infrastructure according to data classification (Tech vs Non‑Tech Data).

-Establish secure and governed access layers for Quality, Engineering, Operations, and Supplier Performance teams.

-Individual will convert raw database inputs into performance‑driven visual analytics used for Quality Clinics, reporting, management reviews, and preventive/corrective action tracking.

Skills and Requirements

-Power Apps Canvas App development (including forms, Patch functions, variable‑based visibility logic).

-Power Automate workflow automation including approvals and SharePoint/Dataverse connectors.

-Data modelling and normalization of legacy structures.

-Power BI data modeling, DAX development, parameterization, and enterprise security. Working within strict data classification and compliance frameworks.
