Full job description

Description We are looking for an FP& A Analyst to support a late-stage clinical biopharma organization in California as it strengthens its finance operations ahead of commercial growth. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can lead Concur-related finance systems work while also contributing to budgeting, spend analysis, and financial reporting. The role partners closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, well-documented processes and a reliable user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the full lifecycle of the Concur rollout, from discovery and workflow design through configuration, validation, launch support, and ongoing optimization.

  • Set up and maintain expense, travel, and corporate card programs, including approval paths, policy rules, and system connections to the broader finance environment.

  • Establish compliant spend-tracking processes for transparency reporting, ensuring meal and transfer-of-value data is captured accurately for industry reporting obligations.

  • Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders to align system behavior with day-to-day operational needs and refine configurations when process requirements evolve.

  • Create user guides, deliver training sessions, and promote adoption by helping employees and managers use the platform effectively.

  • Administer finance system controls by overseeing access, supporting periodic access reviews, maintaining change records, and preparing documentation for audit requests.

  • Coordinate with related platforms such as Coupa and other finance tools to support end-to-end expense, travel, and procurement workflows.

  • Apply structured change control practices by documenting incidents, enhancements, and service requests with clear ownership and traceability.

  • Manage external implementation partners and vendors, while providing regular project updates, maintaining documentation, and communicating progress to stakeholders.

  • Provide light FP& A support through budget tracking, spend reporting, and variance analysis for the Finance team. Requirements • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance systems, FP& A, or financial operations.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing and administering Concur across expense, travel, and corporate card functions.

  • Background in the pharmaceutical or biopharma sector, preferably within an organization preparing for or entering commercialization.

  • Working knowledge of Sunshine Act or Open Payments reporting requirements, including compliant capture of reportable spend data.

  • Experience with finance system controls, including user provisioning, access reviews, administrative audit trails, and audit support.

  • Familiarity with Coupa and its interaction with expense and procurement processes; exposure to NetSuite or Veeva is a plus.

  • Strong documentation, testing, and business analysis skills, with the ability to produce requirements, SOPs, and training materials.

  • Prior consulting or contract experience, with comfort working in an individual-contributor role in a long-term engagement without guaranteed conversion.
