About the job

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Google Ads policies keep the advertising ecosystem safe for users, advertisers, and publishers. For the millions of businesses that advertise with Google, however, a policy decision on their account can be a stressful and disruptive moment, particularly for small businesses without dedicated support. The Account Policy team exists to make that moment clear, fair, and quickly recoverable for legitimate advertisers, while continuing to keep bad actors out.

In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for a significant part of the advertiser account policy experience. You will shape how advertisers learn about policy expectations, understand the decisions that affect their accounts, and take action to resolve them, across the Google Ads web experience, mobile, APIs, and emerging AI-assisted and agentic surfaces.

Google Ads is at the forefront of AI innovation, applying cutting-edge machine learning and Generative AI models like Gemini to power a multi-billion dollar global business.

Our work directly impacts billions of users by protecting users from harm, improving ad quality, and optimizing campaigns for advertiser return-on-investment. We foster a culture of deep collaboration, partnering closely with teams like Google Research and DeepMind to solve complex challenges. Join us to work on state-of-the-art AI, take on problems at an unparalleled scale, and build the next generation of advertising technology.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a designated area of the advertiser account policy experience, prioritizing investments that reduce friction for legitimate advertisers and contribute to business growth.

  • Develop a deep understanding of advertiser needs across segments, from small businesses to large agencies, through user research, data analysis, and close partnership with Sales, Support, and gTech teams.

  • Design experiences that help advertisers anticipate policy requirements and resolve policy issues directly within the product, using AI to make guidance more timely, precise, and actionable.

  • Drive clear and consistent policy communication across the Google Ads web experience, mobile, APIs, and conversational and agentic surfaces.

  • Partner with Engineering, UX, Data Science, Trust and Safety, Policy, and Legal teams to resolve technical, user experience, and privacy trade-offs, and to land launches with high quality.
