Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide quality care to patients, perform clerical and receptionist duties under the direction of a RN, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Del Sol Medical Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Demonstrates knowledge and application of basic patient care, to include activities of daily living, vital signs and intake and output.

• Completes and performs secretarial tasks, such as, Order Entry, filing and organizing patient charts.

• Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors physicians and staff.

• Demonstrates an understanding of patient charts, physician orders and nursing orders.

• Organizes and communicates patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse.

• Maintains the unit in optimal operating condition by ordering supplies, cleaning general workstations and stocking supplies.

• Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
