This role helps ensure students can access the curriculum, participate meaningfully in the school environment, and work toward their individualized education program (IEP) goals. ** ** ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key Responsibilities ** ** Instructional Support - Provide one-on-one or small-group academic assistance as directed by the special education teacher - Reinforce instructional concepts, accommodations, and modifications outlined in students' IEPs - Support students during general education classes, resource rooms, or specialized settings - Assist with implementing behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports Student Care & Supervision - Monitor students to ensure safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior throughout the school day - Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, specials, and transportation as needed - Assist with personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, feeding, mobility) when required and appropriate Behavioral & Social-Emotional Support
