She stayed in Chicago, at the University of Chicago, for her Internal Medicine Residency as well as her Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. As a lifelong Packer fan, she returned to Milwaukee in 1990, and joined the MCW faculty practicing at Froedtert Hospital and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
