Sr Business Systems Analyst

Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst Position Overview

Work at the intersection of business needs and technology by analyzing information requirements, designing effective system solutions, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with client teams, translate business requirements into application requirements, contribute to project planning and IT resource prioritization, and support the ongoing operation and development of business systems.

The ideal candidate brings extensive Business Analyst experience, works effectively with minimal supervision, and can guide lower-level professionals while ensuring system solutions align with business needs and the organization's information systems architecture.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define project scope and objectives.

• Recommend solutions and business process improvements that can be achieved through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

• Translate business requirements into application requirements and collaborate with team members to support successful application execution.

• Engage client teams, explain moderately complex initiatives clearly, and address client hesitations or concerns.

• Estimate costs for various system solutions and prepare project plans to support project prioritization and IT resource allocation decisions.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and support ongoing system operation, maintenance, and development.

• Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

• 10+ years of experience in a Business Analyst capacity required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with financial applications or financial domains.

• Experience working with JIRA and Microsoft Visio.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
