What you will do

  • Lead technical design and development for complex software features, products, and improvements.

  • Contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Lead smaller projects or serve as a significant technical contributor on larger initiatives.

  • Troubleshoot complex software issues and deliver complete, well-designed solutions.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key systems and help shape engineering practices and technical direction.

  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, cross-training, and knowledge sharing, supported by clear technical documentation.

  • Collaborate across teams to communicate technical decisions and project progress while ensuring quality, security, and regulatory standards are met.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 7 or more years of software development experience; a master’s degree and 1–2 years of project leadership experience are preferred.

  • Strong experience with an object-oriented language, common web development patterns such as model-view-controller, and enterprise software development on Agile teams.

  • Strong relational database expertise, including design, programming, and performance tuning, plus experience with Entity Framework or a similar framework; Microsoft SQL Server preferred.

  • Experience designing secure applications, solving difficult technical problems independently, and making sound design decisions.

  • Strong communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, influence across teams, and manage competing priorities.

  • Basic understanding of durable medical equipment and hospice operations, with a commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

  • Preferred experience includes JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React, cloud platforms such as AWS, scripting tools, Xamarin mobile development, or benefits, transaction processing, or financial services systems.
