Job Title: Structural Steel Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will posses 4 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for welding and assembling steel components used in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and shop drawings.

• Fit, align, and assemble steel beams, columns, and other structural members.

• Perform MIG, Flux-Core, and Stick welding on structural steel.

• Operate cutting, grinding, and fabrication tools safely and efficiently.

• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.

• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for welding and installation.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

• Assist with moving, rigging, and positioning steel components as needed.

• Repair and modify structural steel components when required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
