Position Summary

UNC REX Vascular Specialists, a well-established and growing vascular surgery practice within UNC Health Rex, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join its comprehensive vascular team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The incoming surgeon will join a collaborative group of experienced vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers dedicated to delivering the full spectrum of vascular care, including open surgical, endovascular, and office-based procedures. This opportunity offers access to a large referral network, advanced technology, and a robust clinical infrastructure within one of North Carolina's most desirable metropolitan areas.

  • Peripheral arterial disease Carotid artery disease

  • Aortic disease and aneurysm management

  • Venous disease

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree

  • Completion of an accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship or Integrated Vascular Surgery residency

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery

  • Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina

  • Interest in building a busy elective vascular practice while contributing to regional vascular care initiatives

  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration

Education Requirements:

  • Active member of the Rex Hospital Medical Staff, including meeting the Board Certification requirements. Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • DEA;MD

  • BLS

Professional Experience Requirements:

  • Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

  • Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.REASONING ABILITYHigh-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNorth Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
