What You Will Do: - Operate an overhead crane to load and unload plates and cut pieces from the burning table. - Review drawings, layouts, tolerances, job packets, and special instructions to determine piece count, material grade, thickness, length, and width requirements. - Read and interpret production drawings and blueprints. - Operate burning equipment and perform first article inspections and measurements on completed parts. - Execute daily production schedules while meeting quality and productivity expectations. - Mark, tag, and skid parts according to engineering and customer requirements. - Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability through proper tagging, color coding, and verification processes. - Properly identify and dispose of scrap materials according to company procedures. - Mark grain direction on burned parts as required. - Participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process. What Makes You Stand Out: - Previous experience operating a burning machine. - Overhead crane experience. - Tow motor or lift truck experience. - Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience. - Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.
