Description

This role is responsible for mentoring course design project teams for Evidence-Based Educational Design in the Fall 2026 semester and Capstone Projects in the Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 semesters for the Master of Science in Learning Engineering (MSLE) program. You will meet with and provide feedback to teams for up to 20 hours per month. Key Responsibilities

  • Educational Design Course : Advise student teams as they design a 10-hour learning experience and synthesize key ideas from the course. You will hold weekly team meetings, meet regularly with other mentors to share best practices, offer detailed feedback on project milestones (roughly biweekly), and support key in-person events (e.g., final presentations, local class field trips).

  • Capstone Projects : Guide student teams through two-semester, client-sponsored learning design and engineering projects. You will meet weekly with teams to review progress, advise on project scope and client expectations, and provide structured feedback across major milestones—including needs analysis, contextual inquiry, rapid prototyping, user testing, and final deliverable handoffs. Additionally, you will assist teams with team dynamics, support major Capstone events (e.g., milestone reviews, client presentations, showcase events), and collaborate with Capstone instructors to ensure deliverables meet program standards and client objectives.
