Registered Nurse

Primary Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with their care plans and physician orders. - Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely. - Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report to the physician and unit manager. - Document all care provided, observations, and changes in condition per facility protocol. - Complete assessments, care plans, and follow-up documentation as required. - Perform wound care, catheter care, tube feeding, and other nursing procedures as needed. - Ensure infection control practices are followed at all times. - Take and record vital signs, weights, and other clinical data regularly. - Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and family members. - Assist during emergency situations, including CPR if necessary. - Participate in shift change reports and ensure continuity of care across shifts. - Assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents when needed in critical or emergency situations. - Review and revise care plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of residents. Team Leadership & Oversight: - Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to STNAs as needed. - Address and report any concerns related to STNA performance to the unit manager. - Act as a role model and maintain a professional, compassionate attitude with all staff and residents. ** ** Collaboration & Reporting: - Report directly to the unit manager or DON. - Collaborate with other nurses, therapy, dietary, and social services for resident-centered care. - Attend care plan meetings and team conferences as assigned. - Communicate regularly with families regarding resident conditions as appropriate. ** ** Other Duties: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.<
