You’ll work with engineering, architecture, security, product, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver network solutions. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to network design and standards, and use automation to make network operations more consistent and scalable.
About the Role:
-
Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across data center and public cloud environments.
-
Apply core networking expertise in routing, switching, segmentation, connectivity, and traffic management.
-
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools and languages such as Terraform, Ansible and Python.
-
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to test, validate, and deploy network configurations and infrastructure code.
-
Use Jinja2 templates to generate and manage network configurations and automation artifacts.
-
Automate network provisioning, configuration management, compliance checks, and operational processes.
-
Diagnose complex network issues using packet captures, protocol analyzers, logs, monitoring platforms, and other diagnostic tools.
-
Support network provisioning, break-fix, enhancements, migrations, and new initiatives.
-
Implement changes in accordance with change management, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
-
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, procedures, standards, and compliance documentation.
-
Collaborate with architects and partner teams to assess requirements, recommend solutions, and coordinate implementation.
-
Participate in an on-call rotation and support planned work outside normal business hours when required
About You:
Basic Qualifications:
-
8–10+ years of professional network engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience with core networking.
-
At least 3 years of hands-on infrastructure-as-code or network automation experience using tools and languages such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
-
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for testing, validating, or deploying infrastructure code or network configurations.
-
Experience using Jinja2 templates for configuration generation or automation.
-
Strong knowledge of routing protocols and concepts, including BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, and first-hop redundancy protocols such as HSRP or VRRP.
-
Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks, including VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, link aggregation, and network segmentation.
-
Experience with public cloud networking in at least one major cloud platform: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure. GCP experience is an advantage.
-
Experience supporting highly available production infrastructure and following formal change management practices.
-
Experience working in a distributed, multi-data-center or SaaS environment.
-
Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and operations using Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent technologies.
-
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with partner teams.
-
Willingness to participate in on-call support and planned after-hours work.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with Google Cloud networking, including routing, load balancing, NAT, firewalls, or hybrid connectivity.
-
Familiarity with network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python or Jinja2, including CI/CD workflows.
-
Experience with next-generation firewalls such as Fortinet or Palo Alto, and load balancers such as F5.
-
Knowledge of VPN and tunneling technologies, including IPsec, SSL VPN, or GRE.
-
Familiarity with SSL certificate lifecycle management, network monitoring, protocol analysis, or WAN and ISP connectivity.
