Full job description
NVIDIA is harnessing AI to shape the next era of computing, with GPUs powering intelligent devices, robots, and autonomous vehicles. Our breakthroughs are driven by hardworking people and a culture grounded in innovation, excellence, determination, and teamwork. Join us to build technology with a lasting impact. NVIDIA’s autonomous driving team is building a sensor ecosystem for production-ready, next-generation vehicle platforms. We are looking for a Senior Sensor Ecosystem Manager to develop partnerships with suppliers of autonomous vehicle sensors and systems and bring qualified technologies into our automotive ecosystem.
This is an individual contributor role. You will work across engineering, business, and supplier teams to guide engagements from evaluation through qualification, acquisition, and ongoing support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop supplier relationships and roadmaps. Serve as a primary contact for sensor partners, review their capabilities and plans, and track product maturity, timing, risks, and alignment with NVIDIA’s platform needs.
- Drive sensor qualification. Define criteria with engineering teams, coordinate evaluations of performance and integration readiness, and recommend which technologies should advance.
- Coordinate supplier agreements and operations. Work with legal, sourcing, finance, purchasing, and operations on NDAs, evaluation agreements, procurement requests, and supplier documentation.
- Lead RFIs and supplier selection. Define requirements, compare suppliers across technical capability, readiness, support, and strategic fit, and present recommendations to collaborators.
- Manage sensor acquisition and allocation. Consolidate demand across teams, maintain acquisition forecasts, and track orders, deliveries, and inventory. Prioritize available units for requestors based on program needs and timing.
- Resolve supplier issues. Coordinate responses to quality, performance, support, and delivery concerns, advancing and tracking actions through closure.
- Keep collaborators aligned. Work across engineering, program, supply chain, and business teams, and provide clear updates on supplier health, qualification, forecasts, inventory, and risks.
What we need to see:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, robotics, physics, business or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive sensors, ADAS/AV systems, supplier engagement, ecosystem development, or technical program leadership.
- Experience working with suppliers on roadmaps, qualification, selection, issue resolution, and escalations.
- Knowledge of autonomous vehicle sensors and systems, with the ability to assess technologies at a system and ecosystem level.
- Experience coordinating procurement, forecasts, deliveries, inventory, and hardware allocation across multiple teams.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to influence decisions without direct authority.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience building an automotive sensor ecosystem, partner program, or reference-platform supplier network.
- Background working with Tier 1 suppliers, sensor manufacturers, or strategic partners in ADAS/AV.
- Experience balancing technical evaluation with cost, supply continuity, contract readiness, and partner support.
- A record of resolving supplier performance issues after onboarding or procurement.
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 4, and 208,000 USD - 327,750 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
Applications for this job will be accepted at least until October 10, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
