Insight Global is seeking an IT Clinical Informatics Specialist for a top healthcare client onsite in Artesia, NM. This individual will serve as the critical bridge between clinical operations and technology, partnering directly with physicians, nurses, and leadership to optimize EHR usage and improve patient care workflows. The ideal candidate comes from a clinical background and has successfully transitioned into healthcare IT, bringing firsthand knowledge of hospital operations and clinician needs. This role will provide high-touch support for clinical systems, lead training and adoption efforts, troubleshoot workflow and documentation challenges, collaborate with vendors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Long-term, this person will have the opportunity to become a key leader and subject matter expert within the clinical informatics function while helping shape the future of healthcare technology at a growing hospital system.

Day-to-Day: -Serve as the liaison between clinical operations and IT -Support and optimize workflows across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and ancillary departments -Provide Tier 2/3 support for EHR and clinical systems issues -Troubleshoot workflow, documentation, medication scanning, and data flow issues -Work directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to improve system utilization -Configure, test, validate, and optimize EHR functionality -Support system upgrades, enhancements, and change management initiatives -Develop and deliver EHR training, onboarding, and education programs -Create training materials, workflow documentation, and job aids -Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical and operational challenges -Assist with reporting, dashboards, data validation, and regulatory requirements -Support HIPAA compliance, security initiatives, and audit preparation -Participate in clinical governance and informatics committees -Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization -Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for clinical systems

Skills and Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Information Technology, Education, or related field

3-5+ years of healthcare IT, clinical informatics, EHR education, or clinical systems support experience

Experience supporting and training users on EHR systems in hospital and/or ambulatory settings

Strong understanding of inpatient and outpatient clinical workflows

Ability to troubleshoot clinical and technical system issues

Experience working directly with physicians, nurses, and clinical leadership

Excellent communication, collaboration, training, and problem-solving skills

Comfortable providing Tier 2/3 support for clinical applications

Willingness to work onsite and participate in on-call rotation

Experience with enterprise healthcare systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, TruBridge, or similar) Registered Nurse (RN) background

Previous bedside clinical experience

Active or prior clinical license (RN, LPN, MA, etc.)

Clinician who transitioned into healthcare technology

Experience supporting physicians and nursing staff

EHR certification or vendor-specific training

Rural hospital experience

Multi-site healthcare environment experience

Experience supporting accreditation, regulatory, quality, or patient safety initiatives

Adult education, training, or instructional design experience

Leadership potential with interest in owning and growing the clinical informatics function
