Insight Global is seeking an Employee Onboarding Technician for a top manufacturing and packaging client. This individual will support the end-to-end technical onboarding process for employees and contingent workers, ensuring all equipment, applications, and system access are provisioned prior to start date. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with device imaging, hardware and software support, mobile device configuration, and onboarding coordination. This role requires exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment.

Day-to-Day: Coordinate technical preboarding and onboarding activities for new hires and contractors Initiate and monitor onboarding workflows to ensure timely completion Prepare, image, and deploy Windows 11 laptops and desktops Configure mobile devices, applications, email, and VPN access Track onboarding progress and follow up on outstanding requests Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, contractors, hiring managers, and onboarding partners Coordinate identity verification and Day 1 readiness activities Ensure all required system access and technology requests are completed accurately and on time Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, scanners, and other connected devices Escalate onboarding delays, risks, and security concerns as needed Partner with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, and hiring teams to resolve onboarding issues Identify opportunities to improve onboarding efficiency and user experience

Skills and Requirements

High School Diploma and 3+ years of technical support experience Experience supporting laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and other end-user technology Strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting experience Experience imaging and deploying Windows 11 devices Experience supporting printers and handheld scanners Experience configuring mobile devices, email, and applications Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, VPNs, and software installations Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and software management best practices Experience supporting onboarding or provisioning processes Experience working with HR, Talent Acquisition, or hiring managers Experience identifying and escalating security risks or onboarding issues Process improvement experience
