Job Description

Our customer is seeking a Senior RF/ELINT Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, analysis, and testing of advanced Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) systems. This role will focus heavily on RF signal collection, radar and communications emitter analysis, threat characterization, system integration, and technical evaluation of airborne and ground-based mission systems. The engineer will work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and collaborate across multiple programs, including REO initiatives, supporting the full lifecycle of ELINT capability development from requirements and integration through verification, testing, and performance assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform RF signal collection, analysis, identification, and characterization activities.
  • Analyze radar, communications, and other electronic emitters to support mission requirements and threat assessments.
  • Support integration, testing, and verification of ELINT and electronic warfare systems.
  • Work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer on requirements development, system performance analysis, and technical problem solving.
  • Develop and review technical reports, engineering assessments, and test documentation.
  • Analyze collected signal data and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
  • Support laboratory testing activities and system troubleshooting efforts.
  • Investigate system performance issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews, requirements reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Support system interfaces, architecture assessments, and mission system integration.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and test engineering teams.

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 8-15+ years of relevant experience in ELINT, SIGINT, Electronic Warfare, RF Engineering, or Mission Systems.
  • Strong understanding of: RF Signal Analysis, Radar Systems, Communications Systems, Electronic Warfare Concepts, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Threat Signal Characterization
  • Experience supporting: ELINT Systems, RF Collection Systems, Integration & Test Activities, Verification & Validation, Requirements Development
  • Ability to develop technical reports and communicate complex engineering findings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working in laboratory and test environments.
  • Airborne ISR, ELINT, SIGINT, or Electronic Warfare experience.
  • Ground-based electronic warfare system experience.
  • Threat library experience (EWIR, CED, MIDB, EPL, or similar).
  • Experience supporting mission data or intelligence products.
  • Working knowledge of software development concepts.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, or other technical analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and DOORS.
  • RC-135 experience.
  • Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) or Combat Systems Officer (CSO/Nav-SISO) background.
