Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a (Supplier) Quality Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in East Hartford. The Supplier Quality Engineer will serve as the primary Quality Liaison for their relationships between it's organization and external/internal suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, driving root cause investigations and leading corrective and preventative actions to resolve supplier-related quality concerns: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Working With Hot Section Mod Center (HSMC) suppliers to help them meet quality requirements.

  • Managing supplier escapes/nonconformances that have been shipped internally

  • Leading investigations into supplier quality issues and determining root causes and driving corrective actions with suppliers

  • Coordinating with suppliers to improve quality performance metrics

  • Leading cross-functional reviews through the PRT (Problem Resolution Team)

  • Engage with SOAR, PPAP focal points and visit domestic and intonational suppliers to improve overall quality signature of supplier.

  • Collect/Compare data and drive Continuous improvement initiatives at the Supplier in reaction to escapes

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BS in engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent experience and minimum

  • 5+ years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and Minimum 3years experience

  • Experience working in RCCA such as 80 & 5-Whys, PFMEAs, PPAP, Gage R&R.

  • Experience working in RCCA such as 80 & 5-Whys, PFMEAs, PPAP, Gage R&R.

  • Experience working in manufacturing quality environment. Knowledgeable / experience in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality Systems
