Job Description

  • Act as the primary HR Project Manager supporting a Workforce/Timekeeping implementation focused on replacing Tenneco's existing salaried time-tracking solution in the U.S.
  • Partner closely with Payroll leadership, HR stakeholders, IT PMO, Architecture, and the implementation vendor to align scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support the project from the earliest stages, helping shape project plans, governance structures, kickoff activities, and implementation readiness.
  • Govern the third-party implementation partner, ensuring project execution remains aligned to business requirements, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate requirements gathering sessions, project planning, testing activities, issue resolution, deployment readiness, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive alignment between business and technical teams, working with HR, Payroll, Architecture, Development, and Testing resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project financials including budget tracking, forecasting, accruals, invoice management, and PMO reporting updates.
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee discussions, status reviews, and risk/issue management activities.
  • Monitor project milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations while ensuring strong communication across all stakeholder groups.
  • Provide executive-level status reporting and maintain project documentation, dashboards, and reporting artifacts utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365 tools.
  • Support implementation and testing efforts while helping ensure successful adoption and deployment of the new Workforce/Timekeeping solution. Operate within a structured Waterfall delivery environment while maintaining strong vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and project governance practices.

Compensation: $50-60/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

  • Extensive professional experience as an HR Project Manager
  • Should have experience leading projects within HR Workforce - implementations are preferred
  • Experience owning projects end to end
  • Expert at relationship building
  • 3rd party vendors
  • Diverse team members/levels
  • Strong project budget & financials ownership experience
  • Experience with Waterfall methodologies
  • Highly structured, organized, and very strong communicator - consulting mindset
  • IT environment experience with testing, architecture, development, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree Proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint N/A
