Schedule: Full time Shift: Night-Weekend (United States of America) Address: 2600 BRUCE B DOWNS BLVD City: WESLEY CHAPEL State: Florida Postal Code: 33544 Job Description:

  • Shift: Friday-Sunday 1900-0730.

  • Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked room, performing quality assurance on scanners and handling pharmaceutical waste according to training.

  • Reviews all images for accuracy and quality, repeating images as necessary for the best possible result.

  • Uses the computer system for ordering, changing, and canceling exams, ensuring orders match exams.

  • Participates in employee satisfaction and customer service initiatives, contributing to process improvement projects and teams.

  • Attends department and mandatory meetings with a positive attitude, staying informed about meeting content.

  • Performs waived and non-waived Point of Care Testing, ensuring approved competency and documented proof at the time of training.

  • Complies with appropriate standards and directives if registered in sonography.

  • Completes all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.

  • Performs imaging procedures using AdventHealth CT, MRI, X-Ray, mammography, ultrasound, or Dexa protocols, ensuring proper patient identification and screening for contrast allergies. Educates patients about their exams and follow through with communication and discharge after completing exams. Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, adapting protocols for patients of all ages and practicing infection control standards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]

  • Knowledge of imaging procedures/protocols [Required]

  • Knowledge of imaging scanners/equipment [Required]

  • Ability to learn and grow with new technology [Required]

  • Excellent customer service skills [Required]

  • Safety knowledge/ screening of areas they are credentialed/registered in. [Required]

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) [Required]

  • Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as PACS, Imaging equipment, workstations and EMR. [Required]

  • Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. [Required]

  • Maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. [Required]

  • Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, shielding and distance to keep exposure levels as low as reasonably achievable for patients and staff. [Required]

  • Ability to complete exams in an acceptable time frame to meet TAT goals. [Required]

  • Ability to assess, start and confirm appropriate placement of IV’s for use in CT and MR studies. [Required]

  • The ability to assess, explain and perform all studies that a registry is held in on all patients of all ages. [Required]

  • General computer skills and PACS [Preferred]

  • Basic IV competency [Preferred]

  • General physics and anatomy [Preferred]

Education:

  • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]

  • Associates [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • in Radiologic Technology

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in radiology with a year or more in additional modalities [Required]

  • Years’ experience [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$28.97 - $53.88 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
