Salesclerk - Part Time

Job Overview We're seeking a Salesclerk/Sales Associate, depending on the experience working at the gas station/s, to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Assist customers with their needs and suggestions 2. Manage sales transactions while working assigned main cash register and lottery register, both separately. 3. Maintain security of cash and protect company assets. 4. Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise to restock in its home. 5. Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards 6. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. 7. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable 8. Other duties as assigned Duties 1. Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience 2. Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges 3. Assist customers with product questions, offer product demos, and recommend additional items through upselling techniques 4. Maintain attractive merchandise displays by merchandising and stocking shelves regularly 5. Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity 6. Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing stockrooms, and conducting stock counts 7. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely 8. Promote store promotions and new products to boost sales and customer engagement Experience and Requirements 1. Previous gas station retail sales or grocery store experience is required. 2. The candidate must be of 18 years of age and should have PA driver's license. 3. Background checks are done before hiring. 4. Call offs are NOT encouraged, as the work schedules are very flexible. 5. Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding team members or leading small shifts 6. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role, including for PA lottery. 7. Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike
