Job Description

The Oracle Report Writer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports using Oracle tools to support business operations, analytics, and decision-making. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver accurate, actionable reports from Oracle databases and ERP systems. This role will be focused on writing reports in Oracle for either the finance, HR or supply chain modules, taking data out of ERP and loading it into the cloud, or joining to other data in PowerBI.

We are not looking for an OTBI-only report writer. We are looking for someone who can build OTBI reports, BIP reports, HCM Extracts, manage deployments, and understand when a reporting need should be fulfilled through Power BI or enterprise data platforms instead of Oracle reporting tools.

We are seeking Oracle Fusion Reporting Developers with experience across Oracle reporting and extraction technologies, including OTBI, BI Publisher (BIP), and HCM Extracts. This role will be responsible for developing reports, supporting deployments to production, troubleshooting reporting issues, and partnering with business stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate understands both report development and reporting architecture, including when Oracle reporting tools are appropriate and when enterprise reporting platforms such as Power BI are a better fit.

Key Attributes: Able to build reports as well as advise on the appropriate reporting solution Understands the strengths and limitations of OTBI, BIP, HCM Extracts, and Power BI Avoids using a single reporting tool for every use case Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ideal Background Candidates may come from Oracle technical development, reporting development, ERP/HCM support, or analytics engineering backgrounds with hands-on experience building and supporting Oracle reporting solutions.
