Lead Estimator

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Estimator to support commercial and industrial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for developing detailed project estimates, performing takeoffs, reviewing plans and specifications, and supporting preconstruction efforts. The Lead Estimator will also help mentor and guide a Junior Estimator.

Responsibilities Develop detailed project estimates from drawings and specifications Perform quantity takeoffs using Accubid Review project scope and identify potential cost impacts Collaborate with Preconstruction and Operations teams during bid development Support bid submissions and estimate reviews Mentor and train a Junior Estimator Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and completed on schedule Day-to-Day Building estimates and performing takeoffs Reviewing drawings and project specifications Participating in scope reviews Working closely with the Preconstruction team Supporting and mentoring a Junior Estimator

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of estimating experience Strong experience performing takeoffs Experience using Accubid Experience estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects Ability to independently build estimates from start to finish Bilingual (English/Spanish) Business development experience Leadership or mentoring experience
