Full job description
fal is the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. We build the infrastructure, tools, and model access that teams need to move from idea to production, and do it at scale without compromise. For developers and enterprises, fal is the foundation that makes generative media not just possible, but practical: a unified platform where high-performance inference, orchestration, and observability come together to unlock new categories of AI-native products. As generative media reshapes industries across a market projected to grow by hundreds of billions over the next decade, fal is becoming the ecosystem that ambitious teams build on.
About this role: You'll work closely with our capital markets team to manage fal's debt and equity fundraising efforts, along with corporate development work as the company grows. That covers GPU-backed debt facilities, equity rounds, the lenders and investors behind them, and the strategic deals leadership wants to explore. The amounts are large and the timelines are short. You'll build the models, run the processes and keep every counterparty moving, with real ownership from the start. fal is deliberately flat, with very few titles or layers, so you'll work directly with senior leaders on decisions that shape the company.
What you’ll do
-
Debt financing. Help structure and close fal's GPU and infrastructure financings, from revolvers and term loans to asset-backed and SPV structures. Run lender processes, diligence and documentation alongside legal.
-
Equity fundraising. Support fal's equity raises end to end, including the model, investor materials, data room, diligence and follow-ups.
-
Models and materials. Own key parts of the operating model and the lender and investor cases built on it. Turn them into decks and memos that make fal's business easy to understand from the outside.
-
Lender and investor relationships. Keep a live view of every conversation, know what each counterparty needs next, and make sure nothing slips.
-
Post-close reporting. Track covenants, borrowing base and reporting requirements across facilities, and keep lenders and investors up to date.
-
Corporate development. Evaluate strategic investments, partnerships and potential acquisitions, and build the analysis leadership needs to make a call.
-
Market view. Track what lenders are offering against GPUs and other infrastructure (pricing, structure, terms) so every deal is judged against the market.
-
Automate. Use AI tools to take the manual work out of recurring reporting and diligence.
Qualifications/Nice-to-haves
-
5+ years of experience, starting in investment banking, private equity, private credit or infrastructure investing.
-
Strong financial modeling. You can build a model from scratch, stress-test it and explain what drives it.
-
Working knowledge of debt structures and credit documents (term sheets, credit agreements, covenants) and how equity rounds come together.
-
Clear, simple writing. You can turn a complex model into a memo or deck a lender or investor gets quickly.
-
Very organized. You can run several processes at once, with many counterparties, without dropping details.
-
Resourceful, low-ego and high-urgency, and excited to work at a fast-moving AI company where processes are still being built.
-
Experience with infrastructure, project finance, asset-backed or GPU financing.
-
Exposure to M&A or corporate development.
-
Time in a corporate or startup finance seat after banking or PE.
-
Track record of using AI tools to automate finance workflows.
