Full job description

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of an enterprise costing and profitability platform. The solution brings together manufacturing and financial data from multiple ERP systems and facilities, then presents it through Power BI so users can better understand actual product costs and profitability. The core costing logic has already been developed primarily in SQL. This PM will organize and drive the remaining work across data modeling, pipelines, technical architecture, Power BI development, testing, and implementation. This is not a traditional project coordinator role. The ideal candidate has led data, analytics, or software-development projects and can work closely with architects, developers, finance leaders, and business users to move an evolving solution into production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project from its current development stage through production delivery.
  • Build and manage the project plan, milestones, priorities, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the work of the Technical Architect, SQL developers, data resources, Power BI developers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Connect the back-end technical work to the front-end Power BI experience.
  • Facilitate technical and business discussions and ensure decisions are translated into clear action items.
  • Keep the project moving when requirements, timelines, or technical needs change.
  • Hold the team accountable by understanding why additional time or resources are needed, rather than simply extending deadlines.
  • Help the team prioritize what is needed for delivery and avoid unnecessary redesign or over-engineering.
  • Coordinate testing and validation with finance, accounting, IT, and business users.
  • Identify technical blockers, resource gaps, and project risks before they affect delivery.
  • Provide clear status updates and escalate decisions to project leadership when needed.
  • Support documentation, implementation, user adoption, and transition to internal ownership.

The EEOC "Know Your Rights" Poster is available here.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience.
  • Experience leading data, analytics, business intelligence, application-development, or data-platform projects.
  • Experience managing technical teams that may include architects, SQL developers, data engineers, and BI developers.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data pipelines, system integrations, and front-end reporting.
  • Experience managing projects where a solution is being designed and built, not simply implementing a predetermined system.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing changing requirements while maintaining accountability for scope, priorities, and delivery.
  • Strong communication, meeting facilitation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with Power BI and Microsoft-based data environments.
  • Manufacturing, ERP, finance, cost-accounting, profitability, or supply-chain project experience.
  • Experience working on solutions involving multiple facilities, business units, or source systems.
  • Medical device, life sciences, or another regulated-industry background.
  • Familiarity with cost concepts such as material, labor, overhead, yield, scrap, standard cost, and actual cost.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process, please send a request to [email protected].
