Summary
You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Aviation Division, FMS Operations Department, and International Programs of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Duties
- You will be responsible for technical logistics functions, including provisioning, configuration control, data establishment and maintenance, technical review and analysis.
- You will serve as the technical representative for Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, technical advisor on FMS weapon systems provisioning, and advisor for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- You will ensure the quality of technical and engineering information in the various NAVSUP data bases to include performing regular file maintenance and ensuring consistency and logic in the technical data entered into file
- You will review weapon system or support/test equipment life cycle costs associated with all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements to develop alternative logistics support solutions to reduce supply system costs and improving system readiness.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent o the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a primary technical advisor executing a full range of technical logistics functions, specifically encompassing provisioning, configuration management, and market research for aviation equipment or similar complex systems. 2) Interpreting complex supply data and providing contracting support to formulate solutions that meet sustainability goals for international partners or allied forces. 3) Applying Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to evaluate equipment readiness, resolve life-cycle management issues, and align technical logistics strategies with organizational or command-level strategic goals (such as those of NAVSUP WSS). 4) Collaborating across logistics, engineering, and contracting divisions to ensure configuration baselines are maintained and international partner requirements are successfully executed.
