Full job description

Marketing Workflow & AI Enablement Intern

Location: Indianapolis, IN

This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless accommodation is granted as required by law.

The Marketing Workflow & AI Enablement Intern is responsible for joining a Marketing organization that has identified high-value opportunities to use generative AI and automation but needs focused capacity to turn those opportunities into tested, responsible and reusable ways of working. As an AI Enablement & Marketing Transformation Intern, you will help prioritize business needs, build and test practical AI-enabled workflows using approved enterprise tools, create adoption resources, and measure results so leaders can determine what should scale.

This time-bound role sits at the intersection of marketing, technology, analytics, process improvement, communications and change enablement. It is designed for a student who is curious about generative AI and can translate emerging technology into practical solutions that make work easier, faster, more consistent and more effective while documenting risks, human-review needs and evidence of business value.

The Marketing Workflow & AI Enablement Internship program is a 12-week, full-time program running from May 17th, 2027 – August 6th, 2027.

How you will make an impact:

  • Identify and document high-value AI use cases across Marketing and selected business functions.

  • Develop and test reusable prompts, workflows and low-risk prototypes using approved enterprise tools.

  • Support AI pilot design, testing, documentation and measurement.

  • Create practical training materials, quick-reference guides and demonstrations for nontechnical users.

  • Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, quality, usability and risk; document failure modes and human-review requirements.

  • Help track adoption, time savings, quality improvements and stakeholder feedback.

  • Present an end-of-summer recommendation on which AI capabilities should be scaled next.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing or related major at an accredited college or university.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences :

  • Preferred academic standing: rising junior, rising senior, graduating senior or graduate student.

  • Demonstrated interest in generative AI, emerging technology, digital transformation, marketing technology, analytics or process improvement.

  • Hands-on experience using one or more generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or comparable platforms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to organize complex or ambiguous information into clear structures.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
