In this role, you will develop and maintain operationally and financially optimized production and material plans that deliver service and inventory targets while supporting efficient, reliable site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)-level production plans across a 13-week rolling horizon, balancing customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and capacity constraints; identify and resolve capacity gaps and integrate new product introductions as needed

  • Monitor and report on key planning input metrics — including Master Production Schedule (MPS), material availability rate, backorder risk, and capacity utilization — as well as output metrics such as On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery and inventory levels

  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for recurring planning issues; maintain accurate production planning parameters (lot sizes, yields, safety stock) and production master data

  • Leverage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and scenario analysis tools to build optimal schedules; support automation and digitalization efforts in alignment with Corning's integrated planning standards

  • Support the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by integrating near- and mid-term plans with strategic planning; collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, procurement, customer service, and finance teams on scheduling assumptions and performance

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related field

  • 2+ years of experience in production, logistics, or material planning within a manufacturing or supply chain environment

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret supply chain data and generate planning reports

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience with scenario analysis and capacity management features within planning systems

  • Familiarity with SIOP or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes

  • Experience identifying and driving process improvements within a supply chain or manufacturing environment
