What You’ll Do:

  • Ensuring all design deliverables adhere to client branding, functional requirements, and sustainability goals. Conducting design reviews at key milestones to verify compliance with the project brief and technical specifications.

  • Facilitating the value engineering process while maintaining design integrity and quality.

  • Providing early warnings for potential design schedule delays and implementing mitigation strategies. Coordinating between internal stakeholders, project managers, and the design team to resolve complex technical challenges.

  • Managing the documentation process for permit applications and regulatory submissions.

  • Representing the client’s interests during design meetings to ensure alignment with the overarching project vision.

  • Developing and delivering architectural briefs based on collected business and stakeholder requirements. Managing design consultant output to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accessibility.

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum or a B.A. or M.A. in Architecture from an accredited architectural curriculum.

  • NCIDQ certification or architectural registration is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit.

  • Sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles, including the ability to conduct budget analysis and track project costs.

  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on sophisticated topics to clients, management, and project teams.

  • Ability to empower and negotiate effectively with external consultants and internal stakeholder groups to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-standard procurement processes.
