Security & Protective Services CTT Instructor
Location: Delaware Valley Job Corps Center, Callicoon, NY $62,353 per year • Full-time role Monday-Friday 7:45am – 4:45pm / Saturday & Sunday off
Delaware Valley Job Corps is an education and training center located in beautiful Callicoon, NY. We operate with student-focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve. As a CPP Instructor you will be responsible for providing instruction and training to students during their Career Preparation Program, the very beginning of their Job Corps journey. You will develop individual achievement plans, evaluates progress to ensure student early retention and success in the program.
JOB DUTIES

Provide classroom and hands-on instruction in Security & Safety-related skills and procedures.

Develop and deliver lesson plans and training activities aligned with the center’s career technical training curriculum.

Teach students appropriate workplace safety practices, security procedures, professional conduct, and job-related skills.

Maintain an organized, safe, and positive classroom and training environment.

Monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback, coaching, and additional instruction as needed.

Maintain accurate student attendance, progress, and training records.

Prepare students for employment through job-readiness activities, workplace expectations, and practical skill development.

Ensure tools, equipment, supplies, and training areas are properly maintained and used safely.

Follow all Job Corps, corporate, state, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Work collaboratively with other departments to support student development and successful completion of the Job Corps program.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Minimum of one year of experience in teaching or a related field required.
-
Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or accredited by an applicable professional trade organization.
-
For non-traditional career training programs, the instructor may be required to hold certification through a union or trade organization or a national trade certifying organization.

Previous experience providing instruction, training, or supervision in Security, Safety, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, Emergency Services, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to effectively communicate with and instruct young adults from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and classroom-management skills.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and a safe, structured learning environment.

Must meet all company and center employment requirements.
