Full job description
Description
The AI Collective is the unified AI learning and enablement organization within Amazon's Selling Partner Services (SPS) and PXD PMO. We serve 18,000+ employees and 45,000+ associates with a singular mission: build the workforce of the future through evidence-based, signal-driven programming that keeps pace with AI innovation.
We are not a content factory; we are a signal-to-action engine. We build training only when business signals confirm the need, we measure whether it moved the needle, and we retire what didn't. Our operating model runs on three imperatives: feedback-driven programming, scaling through systems rather than headcount, and business transformation.
We are seeking a Senior Trainer who can own live delivery and facilitation across all proficiency levels, from foundational through advanced, while operating in a truly fast-moving environment where the AI landscape shifts weekly. This is not a traditional L&D role. This is a delivery operator and force multiplier who makes training stick by owning the room, building facilitation capacity across the business, and creating the conditions where people learn by doing. The instructional designer owns the curriculum and technical content; this person takes that content live and scales it through others.
The Senior Trainer will be responsible for leading train-the-trainer sessions for business AI champions, with measurable impact on training amplification and force multiplication of learning and adoption. They will also serve as a mentor for embedded alumni, ensuring continued skill development and sustained adoption post-training.
Key job responsibilities
-
Deliver live training across foundational through advanced proficiency levels using curriculum developed in partnership with the instructional designer, adapting facilitation approach to audience needs in real time
-
Lead train-the-trainer sessions for business AI champions with measurable impact on training amplification and force multiplication of learning and adoption across the organization
-
Build and manage the facilitator pipeline, including certification, coaching, and quality assurance for federated trainers delivering AI Collective programming across business lines
-
Serve as a mentor for embedded alumni, ensuring skill development, sustained adoption post-training, and active participation in the learning community
-
Translate business signals into programming priorities by surfacing confirmed capability needs to the lead ID and collaborating on content sequencing that addresses what the business actually needs
-
Own stakeholder alignment and delivery logistics, including scheduling, sequencing events
-
Support and expand community-driven learning through AI Innovation Fairs, Communities of Practice, and peer-to-peer learning formats that scale adoption without proportional headcount
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, HRBPs, and AI Transformation partners to ensure programming reflects real-world application and that trained populations are actually changing how they work
A day in the life
You own the room. You can take curriculum you didn't build and deliver it in a way that makes people actually change how they work. You read the room, adjust on the fly, and make complex AI concepts land for non-technical leaders and advanced practitioners alike.
You think in terms of force multiplication, not individual sessions. Your instinct is to build facilitation capacity across the business so learning scales without you in every room. Train-the-trainer isn't a checkbox; it's your primary lever for impact. You measure success by what people do differently after they leave your session.
Basic Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in management and leadership development, organization development, learning and development, group facilitation, training and training design experience
-
Bachelor's degree in learning design, learning science, instructional design, educational psychology, or a similar field
-
Experience leading training organizations or programs at a national or network scale
-
Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment
-
Demonstrated ability to deliver live training to audiences at multiple proficiency levels (beginner through advanced) simultaneously
-
Experience building scalable training delivery models that serve large learner populations without proportional headcount growth
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience facilitating technical or semi-technical content to mixed audiences (you don't need to build it, but you need to own the delivery and make it land)
-
Experience with facilitator certification pipelines, peer coaching programs, or federated delivery models
-
Experience measuring learning impact through behavioral adoption and tool usage rates rather than completion metrics alone
-
Track record of building and sustaining Communities of Practice, innovation showcases, or peer-led learning ecosystems
