Inclusive Excellence Statement Advertised Job Summary Under general supervision, reporting to the Lead Senior Director of Development (Senior DOD) for the College, the Assistant Director of Development supports the management and operations of Development through lead annual gift fundraising for the College. Responsible for building and directing the lead annual gift alumni solicitation program of donor/prospect portfolios for the College. This position will be part of the University Development and College team and will operate within the system and procedures of USC Development to ensure consistent and well-coordinated activities. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - General knowledge of principles and methods of planning and conducting a comprehensive fundraising program. - Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with faculty, alumni, donors, students, volunteers, businesses and the general public. - Outstanding oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to travel, work evenings and weekends, as required. - Effective computer experience including database operation and word processing.

Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and 2 years of fundraising or development experience in higher education and/or hybrid development model. - Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM donor database preferred.
