Job Title: Electrical Engineer/DesignerJob Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team at an established MEP Consulting firm in the greater Columbus metro area. This role involves managing electrical engineering projects from concept through construction, conducting site visits, and leading internal design teams to deliver high-performance MEP systems.
Responsibilities

Manage electrical engineering projects from initial client consultation through design, permitting, and construction support.

Conduct on-site evaluations to assess existing electrical systems and determine project requirements.

Create and review electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.

Prepare construction documents, permit drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Supervise and mentor electrical designers and junior engineers, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables.

Serve as a technical liaison with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project goals are met.

Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and national codes, including NEC and energy codes.
Essential Skills

Experience in electrical engineering within an MEP Consulting firm.

Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

Expertise in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.

Strong project management skills from concept to completion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

An Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
-
A Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is preferred.

Over 5 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
The position requires in-office work with shifts from Monday to Thursday, consisting of 9-hour days, and a 4-hour shift on Friday. After establishing tenure, there is an option to work from home on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dublin, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
