Full job description

Description We are looking for a strategic and hands-on marketing leader to drive paid search performance for our ecommerce business in Brooklyn, New York. This role is centered on scaling revenue through Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising while maintaining strong return on spend and disciplined budget management. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in search, shopping, and Performance Max campaigns, along with the analytical judgment to translate data into clear business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead paid search strategy across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, shaping account structures that support a large product catalog and capture long-tail demand effectively.

  • Manage day-to-day campaign execution, including bid adjustments, pacing oversight, keyword exclusions, search query analysis, audience targeting, and device, location, and schedule optimizations.

  • Oversee product feed performance as a core acquisition lever by refining titles and attributes, applying custom segmentation, and resolving merchant center issues that affect delivery.

  • Develop and evaluate ad messaging, creative assets, extensions, and landing page test ideas in partnership with ecommerce and merchandising stakeholders.

  • Establish channel performance benchmarks tied to revenue, efficiency, contribution margin, and customer acquisition goals, and allocate investment based on measurable impact.

  • Build and maintain a structured experimentation roadmap covering bidding models, campaign design, match types, creative approaches, and onsite experience improvements.

  • Deliver business-focused reporting through weekly insights, monthly reviews, forecasts, and scenario planning for seasonal or high-demand periods.

  • Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics using auction trends, impression share analysis, brand term pressure, and pricing signals to inform optimization decisions. Requirements • 3–5 years of paid search experience, with search advertising serving as the primary area of ownership for most of that time.

  • Recent in-house experience on the brand side is required, including at least 2 years supporting a company that sells its own products.

  • Proven hands-on management of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising accounts, with direct responsibility for campaign builds, bid management, keyword analysis, and account changes.

  • Ecommerce experience is required, ideally in a direct-to-consumer environment, with a solid grasp of conversion funnels, category margin dynamics, repeat purchasing, and cart abandonment behavior.

  • Advanced expertise in Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, including Merchant Center administration, feed diagnostics, and asset group structuring decisions.

  • Strong analytical capability using Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, and cohort-based analysis, along with working knowledge of GA4.

  • Sound judgment in bid strategy selection, with the ability to explain automation tradeoffs, evaluate tCPA and tROAS impacts, and troubleshoot underperforming strategies.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to present recommendations clearly, support decisions with data, and challenge inefficient spend when needed. Innovation starts with people.®
