Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Machinist / Machine Operator to support the manufacturing of precision aerospace components, including turbine blades, vanes, and other critical engine components. This individual will operate and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) and precision grinding equipment in a high-volume production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, experience making machine adjustments from a controller interface, and the ability to efficiently oversee multiple machines simultaneously while maintaining strict quality standards.
Responsibilities

Operate EDM and precision grinding machines to manufacture aerospace components to blueprint and specification requirements.

Load, unload, and monitor multiple machines simultaneously to maximize production output.

Make program edits and machine offsets directly from the machine control screen as needed.

Perform routine machine setups, tool changes, and minor troubleshooting.

Inspect components using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.

Verify product quality and maintain compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and process sheets.

Maintain production rates while ensuring quality and minimize scraps.

Perform routine operations, read and interpret process sheets, deburr and clean parts, gage parts, and make minor offset changes with oversight.

Frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specifications.

Clock labor in Solumina, perform preventative maintenance and document results, document information on check sheets, keep dimensional data on run charts, and complete Daily Walk Around (DWA).

Utilize communication log and keep work area and equipment clean, maintaining acceptable quality levels.

Frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment and transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds.

Run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product at rate per standard work.

Carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position, in support of department objectives and to develop ones skills.

Adhere to ACE guidelines, perform CORE duties as required, and adhere to all EH & S guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment.

Work Environment
Work in an aerospace manufacturing facility producing precision engine components. The clean, climate-controlled production environment operates in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting with stringent quality standards. You will frequently interact with grinding equipment, EDM machines, precision tooling, and inspection equipment. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, and other safety equipment as needed. Available shifts include AWW1 and AWW2, Friday through Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm, where you work 36 hours and are paid for 40.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
