Job Description
Schedule
Monday- Friday dayshift, at least 20 hours per week.
General Summary
On an "as needed" basis, supports the Safe Patient Handling (SPH) Team and Employee Health and Safety by fulfilling the role of SPH Trainer on topics and initiatives related to safe patient handling competencies and expectations, including patient handling principles, equipment use, patient mobility assessment, and ergonomics. Delivers SPH training in acute care and ambulatory settings as developed by the SPH Team. Assists with program performance metrics and analyses that support Zero Harm and serves as an additional liaison with frontline staff.
Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Utilizes established standard work, programs, tools and curriculums to conduct team member training related to safe patient handling and promoting Zero Harm.

Maintains expertise in SPH training resources, including microlearning and Oracle Learning modules, and demonstrates the ability to explain, reinforce, and support the application of training content in clinical practice.

Assists with SPH program performance measures, audits, observations, and data collection activities as assigned.

Participates in SPH meetings and educational updates, providing feedback from clinical areas and sharing frontline observations, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.

Fulfills annual minimum scheduling requirements, if applicable.

Takes responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of education facilities and properly maintains department equipment.

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED Required
-
Associates Degree in Healthcare related field (i.e. Applied Sciences, Allied Health, Exercise & Applied Sciences) Preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year Clinical experience in patient care settings (PTA, OTA, CNA, LPN, Rehab Medicine Technician) Required.
Licenses:
-
Basic Life Support Upon Hire Preferred.

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
