Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Credit Portfolio Senior Officer for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Optimize clients’ portfolios from a revenue, risk, and funding perspective. Articulate complex ideas to management and clients, and monitor and assist in the design of portfolio risk management solutions to meet clients’ objectives. Manage settlement risk for cash transactions on an assigned group of clients across Hedge Funds, Banks, Funds, Insurance and Municipals. Perform periodic reviews and analysis of financial metrics on assigned group of clients, as well as approve limit exceptions within the designed risk tolerance. Oversee the development of processes and risk data tools in order to streamline data and improve efficiency in risk analysis tasks. Utilized risk management metrics, such as VaR, stress testing results and risk sensitivities, for the measurement, monitoring, and management of exposure. Compiled presentations and documentation for internal or external use on various relative topics, such as weekly forums on key risk exposure faced by the company and deep-dive analysis on clients and the company’s exposure to said clients. Work with sales and clients to analyze client portfolios, propose risk limits, and work with Credit Risk Management to have said limits approved. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field of study and 7 years of experience as a Business Risk Officer, Credit Portfolio Officer, Risk Management Analyst, Stress Testing Analyst, Middle Office or Consulting roles working in risk management in the global financial services industry. Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in the above STEM fields and 10 years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the fields as listed above working in risk management in the global financial services industry. 7 years of experience must include: Providing customized solutions to optimize clients’ portfolios from a revenue, risk, and funding perspective; Articulating ideas to management and clients, and monitoring and assisting in the design of portfolio risk management solutions to meet clients’ objectives; Performing reviews and analysis of financial metrics for various clients and approving limit exceptions within the designed risk tolerance; Developing processes and tools to streamline data and risk analysis tasks; Utilizing risk management metrics, VaR, stress testing and risk sensitivities to measure, monitor, and manage exposure against external clients; Compiling presentations and documentation for internal or external use on key risk exposure and analyzing the company’s exposure to clients; and Monitoring and analyzing client portfolios, communicating exposures to different teams, proposing risk limits and working with Risk Team for approvals.
