Electrical Service and Install Technician

Job Title: Electrical Service and Install Technician Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Day/Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00 pm | On-Call, Rotation with Overtime (nights and weekends) as required. Location of Work: Panama City Requirements: Employer will Conduct Background Check, Drug Screen, and Motor Vehicle Check SUMMARY: As anElectrical Service and Install Technician , a ssist and learn how to service HVAC systems in accordance with the company's approved operating practices and with the highest level of customer care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring. - Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality. - Perform all work in accordance with electrical codes, blueprints, and industry standards. - Calibrate and test electrical systems to meet specified requirements. - Complete required documentation of repairs, service information, and maintenance activities. - Maintain adequate inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts to ensure timely and efficient service. - Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components to prevent future issues. - Troubleshoot problems, make timely repairs, and ensure the reliability of electrical systems. - Follow best practices to maintain high standards of safety and quality in all work. - Complete general in-home service calls and installations, ensuring customer satisfaction. - Establish rapport with customers to recommend the right products and services, including finance options and maintenance plans. - Work alongside customer service and dispatch teams to ensure overall business success and satisfaction. - Maintain a clean and organized job site and well-inventoried service vehicle. - Participate actively in training, morning meetings, trade shows, and other professional development activities. - Train and mentor apprentices, ensuring they understand and perform accurate repairs and installations. - Maintain accuracy and timeliness with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Required Qualifications: - Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Able to pass background check, drug screen and MVR check. - Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred. - 1+ years of electrical experience preferred. - Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. - Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment - Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work. - Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.
