What You’ll Own
Own the end-to-end technology strategy across four core document capabilities:
-
Upload, Archival & Retrieval – modernize document intake, image quality, indexing, secure storage, retention, search and retrieval; scale Box as the strategic platform while retiring legacy Mobius and ELF dependencies.
-
Dynamic Document Generation – build governed, reusable and business-configurable PDF/form capabilities, including dynamic content, approval workflows, scheduling and change control; progressively retire legacy code.
-
Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) – enable automated classification, data extraction, readability/completeness validation, fraud indicators and exception review, including timely feedback in customer and frontline workflows.
-
E-Signature & Authoritative Copy – own reliable DocuSign integration, signing templates and rules, and eOriginal vaulting of legally authoritative agreements, with integrity, custody, metadata and auditable transfer controls.
Key Responsibilities
-
Define the enterprise document technology strategy, target architecture, platform boundaries and executable roadmap across the complete document lifecycle.
-
Lead the Box-based migration, including high-volume upload and retrieval, document-type rationalization, retention and metadata governance, safe cutover from Mobius/ELF and decommissioning of redundant legacy assets.
-
Own reliable document intake and rapid cross-platform retrieval for branches, digital origination, servicing and downstream platforms; improve image quality and PDF optimization to reduce rework.
-
Modernize dynamic document generation through reusable APIs and governed self-service templates so business and regulatory changes move from months toward weeks, reducing engineering dependency and retiring CLASS forms technology.
-
Industrialize IDP at enterprise scale with measurable classification/extraction accuracy, latency, completeness and readability controls, exception workbenches, fraud-review routing and human oversight.
-
Ensure e-signature and authoritative-copy vaulting are integrated into origination and servicing journeys, with clear legal custody, tamper evidence, chain of control and complete audit trails.
-
Engineer for high availability, throughput, recoverability, observability, secure access, immutable auditability and data integrity across vendors, document events and asynchronous services.
-
Establish modern, AI-enabled engineering practices across the full product development lifecycle (PDLC) through agentic frameworks, including AI-assisted discovery, design, coding, test generation, code review, documentation and operations, with human accountability, security controls and measurable gains in speed and quality.
-
Partner closely with Originations, Servicing, Product, Operations, Risk and Compliance to simplify manual processes, improve frontline workflows and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
-
Own vendor strategy and economics across Box, IDP providers, DocuSign, eOriginal and adjacent document technologies; assess integration complexity, service levels, per-document costs and build-versus-buy tradeoffs.
-
Grow engineering leaders and teams while ensuring privacy, records retention, access controls, regulatory compliance, data lineage and accountable platform ownership.
-
Foster a vibrant, collaborative engineering culture that attracts great talent, encourages creativity and experimentation, celebrates successes, and makes engineering a rewarding and exciting place to work.
-
Inspire and develop engineering leaders and teams, cultivating ownership, curiosity, continuous learning, and a passion for innovation while delivering exceptional business outcomes.

-
Experience integrating cloud/SaaS document systems with legacy platforms, customer-facing journeys and third-party processing and digital-signature vendors.
-
Proven ability to sequence large migrations and technology retirements without disrupting origination or servicing operations.
-
Sound judgment on architecture, platform reuse, AI-enabled workflow automation, vendor selection, cost efficiency and control design.
-
Ability to connect architecture and engineering execution to operational efficiency, customer experience and measurable business outcomes.
-
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional influence.
-
Track record of attracting, mentoring and developing high-performing engineering teams and leaders.

-
Demonstrated ability to lead managers and senior technical leaders, build high-performing engineering organizations, and drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
-
Strong track record leading enterprise modernization, including legacy platform retirement, cloud adoption, vendor consolidation, and engineering transformation.
-
Experience driving AI-enabled engineering practices across the PDLC, with measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and time to market.
-
Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence technology strategy, navigate complex cross-functional dependencies, and communicate effectively with senior business and technology leadership.
-
Demonstrated ownership of engineering budgets, vendor relationships, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and delivery commitments.

-
Experience with Box or comparable ECM platforms, Mobius/legacy repository migrations, dynamic PDF generation, OCR/IDP, DocuSign and eOriginal or analogous e-vaulting technologies.
-
Experience designing cloud-native, highly available services with APIs, asynchronous pipelines, monitoring, security controls, disaster recovery and automated deployments.
-
Experience simplifying large document estates and legacy forms engines while preserving accessibility, metadata, retention, auditability and data integrity.
-
Experience assessing IDP classification/extraction quality, near-real-time feedback, fraud indicators, exception review, model governance and vendor latency/cost tradeoffs.
-
Track record of developing engineering leaders and scaling AI-assisted development practices with appropriate review, testing, governance and measurable delivery outcomes.
-
Demonstrated success partnering across Product, Operations, Architecture, Security, Compliance, Risk and external technology providers.
