Your Role and Impact
As an NDE Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of Flowserve products through nondestructive examination, inspection, calibration, and testing activities. This role is critical to maintaining customer confidence, supporting nuclear and industrial quality requirements, and ensuring products meet applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
You will drive operational excellence by developing your team, improving inspection processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the facility.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop NDE personnel to ensure inspections, examinations, and testing activities are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable procedures and standards.

Oversee nondestructive examination activities including Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).

Verify product and material conformity through inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

Manage calibration programs, inspection equipment, gauges, and test instruments to ensure compliance, traceability, and operational readiness.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and inspection process effectiveness.

Support nonconformance management, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and quality improvement activities across manufacturing operations.

Coordinate customer, supplier, and third-party inspection activities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and certification requirements.

Promote a strong safety and quality culture by supporting Daily Management, problem-solving initiatives, Nuclear Safety Culture principles, and employee development.
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED.
-
5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, manufacturing, calibration, nondestructive examination, or a related technical field.

Previous experience leading or directing inspection, quality, or technical personnel in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of inspection methods, precision measurement tools, calibration systems, and quality documentation requirements.
-
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, procedures, and applicable industry standards.

Experience working with ASME, ASTM, ISO, customer specifications, and quality management systems.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized quality or inspection systems.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with one or more NDE methods including VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT.
-
American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) certification.
-
Radiation Safety Officer experience and/or radiography certifications such as IRRSP.

Experience supporting nuclear, engineered-to-order, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
-
Knowledge of Positive Material Identification (PMI), spectrometer analysis, and material verification processes.

Experience managing calibration systems, gauge control programs, supplier quality, and audit activities.

Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, or Operational Excellence methodologies.

Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
