We are looking for a Component Application Engineer. This position will be based in Peachtree Corners, GA, Grand Prairie, TX or Mayfield TX.

In this role, you will serve as a technical resource for low-voltage molded case circuit breakers, miniature circuit breakers, and related power distribution products. You will troubleshoot complex customer applications, support pre- and post-sale technical needs, and provide product, market, and competitive insights that help shape portfolio direction. You will collaborate with Product Management, Business Development, Sales, customers, standards teams, and research and development partners.

You’ll make a difference with:

  • Customer Application Support – Troubleshoot complex low-voltage power distribution and breaker applications by reviewing customer systems, installation environments, and performance data to identify root causes and recommend solutions.

  • Technical Sales Support – Provide pre-sale and advanced post-sale guidance to customers, Business Development, Sales, Application Engineering, Project Management, Technical Support, and Customer Service teams.

  • Product and Roadmap Input – Gather and translate customer and technical requirements, assess feature feasibility, and provide application insights that support product specifications, enhancements, and future portfolio plans.

  • Competitive and Market Analysis – Evaluate competitor products and applications, identify capability gaps and market opportunities, and share recommendations that help differentiate Siemens solutions.

  • Solution Communication – Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, proposals, status reviews, and customer guidance for varied technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Documentation and Training – Create technical guidance, manuals, product instructions, white papers, and training materials that strengthen product understanding and application effectiveness.

  • Standards and Industry Engagement – Apply relevant electrical codes and standards, support Time Current Characteristic curve guidance, and contribute technical expertise to industry activities and committees as appropriate.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical degree in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 3+ years of combined relevant experience with the following:

  • Applying, specifying, or supporting molded case circuit breakers or related circuit-protection products.

  • Low-voltage industrial or commercial power distribution systems.

  • Troubleshooting customer applications, breaker performance, electrical distribution systems, or related technical issues.

  • Providing customer-facing technical support and explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborating across engineering, product, sales, or business teams to develop technical recommendations.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20%, primarily within the United States.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with miniature circuit breakers, protection devices, electrical panel design, data center electrical systems, or consulting electrical engineering.

  • Knowledge of industry knowledge of Siemens and competitor manufactured products and technologies.

  • Exposure to UL standards, the National Electrical Code, NEMA, NFPA, IEEE, or other electrical industry codes and standards.

  • Experience using Time Current Characteristic curve tools or supporting power distribution studies.

  • Experience with technical product management, research and development, product development, pre-sales consulting, technical training, documentation, or Professional Engineer licensure.
