You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Stf for the Material Review Team which is responsible for delivering practical engineering solutions to high‑performance aircraft platforms.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Stf you will be responsible for investigating anomalies, developing technical solutions, and coordinating disposition releases for critical platform components.

"Your responsibilities will include:"

  • Investigate anomalies on high‑performance platform parts, assemblies, installations, and finishes.

  • Develop and coordinate technical solutions and prepare release dispositions for identified discrepancies.

  • Interface with cross‑functional groups such as Stress/Durability, Quality Assurance, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes, and Flight Sciences.

  • Drive process improvements, embed best practices, and coordinate lessons learned and corrective actions.

  • Make timely technical decisions while assessing and managing associated financial impacts.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Civil Engineering field or related field or equivalent Flight Test experience.

Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to maintain a Top-Secret clearance and obtain Special Access Program access.

Prior experience with aircraft design, assembly, or repair.

Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design(CAD) tool.

Experience with aircraft materials and limitations, state-of-the-art measurement and tooling techniques, field maintenance and repair support.

Desired Skills

Prior Material Review experience highly desired.

Ability to make technical decisions and evaluations of non-conforming products with little outside input in an expedient manner.

Experience with CATIA V5, Microsoft Office.

Familiarity with most types of aircraft materials and fabrication processes such as composites, metals, harness wiring, tubing, ducting, and general engineering principles.

Prior experience with military aircraft design, assembly, or repair.

Experience with program execution in a multi-company teaming/partnering environment with strong internal and external customer focus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Blueprint reading/GD&T.

Self-starting logical problem solver.

Flight test experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
